Nestling at the tip of the Lincolnshire Wolds in a picture postcard setting is Claythorpe Watermill & Wildfowl Gardens, truly a little piece of paradise which, once discovered, you'll want to return to time and time again. Open daily from Easter until the end of September this unique visitor centre offers you quite simply 'enchantment'. With over three hundred birds many wandering freely you really feel a part of their environment, get close to them and take some wonderful photographs to remember the magic of Claythorpe. Our Bygone Area has memorabilia of milling and agriculture, and Ye Old Bakery depicts the milling and baking side of the Mills history which ceased in the 1970's. Picnic in our Enchanted Woods area in which fairy tale fantasies really come to life, or you can choose to sample the tantalising delights of our own catering areas with succulent home fare on offer, delicious cakes and cream teas to die for! We've shop areas in which to browse, where you can purchase delicious homemade produce, and personalised gifts. So whether you've got a couple of hours to kill, or a day to relax in yesteryear style we have so much to see and do but no miles of walking, come and lose yourself in the beauty and tranquility of our little piece of heaven. Coaches and groups welcome, by prior arrangement, please ring for further details.
Not only can you visit paradise, you can stay here - our Millers Cottage sleeps four and is available for weekly lets and short breaks in early and late season.
